The kids are playing “night time.” The curtains are closed, flashlights are on and they are pretending to sleep. This just may be one of my favorite games ever!
Megan came into the kitchen and said, “Mommy, I a Cookie Monster?” That’s her cute way of asking for a cookie for snack. Of course, I have her one.
It was so cold in the Mountains in Wintergreen this weekend so I let the kids go to sleep in our bed. This is how they fell asleep. Sooooo sweet!

After I explained to Ethan that he wasn’t going to marry Megan one day he says, “When I grow up I will drive my car and ask people where to go to find the perfect girl to marry. I will go all over the town and all over the world. After I get married, I will buy a dog and go to work with Daddy and help him.”
My conversation with Ethan in the car tonight: “Why don’t we float into space?” “What is gravity?” “Why isn’t there gravity in space?” “Why don’t we feel the Earth move?” “How does the Sun stay in the same place?” “Why don’t we fall off the planet when it turns?” Wow!! I hope I answered everything correctly!! I love his curiosity.
Upon hearing we have to go to the bank and post office, Ethan says: “I want to be an Explorer when I grow up so I never have to do errands again. Explorers walk in the mountains and mud.”
We took the kid’s for a surprise trip to Krispy Kreme last night before bedtime. They were so excited to eat a doughnut and even more happy to find out it was a Snowman doughnut!

We always have Sunday night family dinner at my parent’s house. Tonight, my Dad decided to cook breakfast. The kids were so excited to eat their favorites – scrambled eggs, “panpapes” and syrup, bacon and biscuits! Ethan asked for Papa to make him a pancake in the shape of the letter E and this is what he brought to Ethan. He was soooo happy!

Megan was staring at Ethan’s plate and seemed a little sad she didn’t have a special pancake. So, Papa made her a letter M. She smiled and cheered just like she had watched Ethan a few minutes earlier. So cute!
