Ethan loves to question me about deep topics when we are driving in the car.

Last week we are driving in the car and Ethan says: “Mommy, how did God create everything?” Me: “Well, God is so powerful that all he had to do was say “Let there be Light” and the sunshine appeared.  Then he said, “Let there be grass and trees” and they appeared to.”  Ethan:  “Wow!  I think I know what he said Mom.  He said Abbra Cadabra.” Me:  “Well, I’m not sure if that is what he said.”  Ethan:  “Mom, I know it is.  That’s how things appear.”  Me:  “Ok, maybe you’re right.”  Ethan has a big smile on his face for figuring out this great mystery.

Today we are driving down the road and Ethan says:  “Mommy, who created God?”  Me: “Well, God is so amazing and powerful that he didn’t need anyone to create him.”  Ethan:  “But, who made him?”  Me: “God didn’t need anyone to make him. He has always been here.”  Ethan: ” Mom, somebody made him.  Did God make God?”  Me:  “Yes.”
